Despite a relatively short career, which was brought to an end by a plane crash, and a recording legacy of just 120 songs, Patsy Cline is still considered by many to have been one of the best country music performers of all time. After a hesitant start (due in part to the quality of the material she was offered to record, all of which came from one music publisher) Patsy expanded her horizons and recorded material that was not only country in its origin, although the country feel was retained thanks to the finest session musicians Nashville could provide.
